Wise Quackers

''Wise Quackers'' is a 1949 Warner Bros. animated cartoon in the Merrie Melodies series. It was directed by Friz Freleng. This short should not be confused with ''Wise Quacks'' (1939).
The film's plot centers around Daffy Duck being Elmer Fudd's slave so as not be killed and eaten by Elmer.
==Edited versions==

*When this cartoon aired on ABC and ''The Merrie Melodies Show'' (both the syndicated version and the FOX version), the part where Daffy offers to be Elmer's slave was cut to remove Daffy putting on a gray wig and acting like an old Uncle Tom was cut. The ABC version also cut the part where daffy cuts down a tree, which smashes into a neighbor's house, and said neighbor beans Elmer on the head with a hammer he "borrows" from him.
*Because of the references to slavery, this cartoon has not been seen on American television since the 1990s. However, it has shown up on a video called "Daffy Duck: Tales from the Duckside" and is on the Looney Tunes All-Star DVD set, "Daffy Duck: Frustrated Fowl."
